What started off as a bit of a disastrous evening turned into an opportunity to meet one of the nicest people I've met in a very long time.We'd had some warning signs of some plumbing issues lately (which my wife took a lot more seriously than I did, and I should have listened!). It came to a bit of a head tonight when toilets were bubbling, water that was "less than clean" started bubbling up into the tubs, and water was leaking out of the outflow pipe in the basement. Not awesome.We made some frantic calls to a number of places. Several just didn't service our area. Multiple said that the soonest they could get somebody out to us was Monday (one said 10 weeks!), and MANY just didn't get back to us.That is, until we came to Micah. Micah not only was willing to come out, after hours on a Friday night, but I genuinely cannot remember the last time I'd met this nice (or interesting) a person. Micah was so friendy! The poor guy was ready to start his holiday but was so willing to help us out. We needed him to come that very day as we were leaving for Wyoming very early the next morning. The water was not going down in our toilet. Where do I begin.... My basement has never had any water issues, my husband has been away for work since June so it has been me trying to deal with this while he is away thousands of miles for work! We have had 3 floods in the past 5 weeks. My husband called Micah and he came right out to look at he issue and had us booked for a pump the very next week!! As bad luck would have it we got water in the basement last Thursday/ Friday, my husband called him told him of this and pushed us up for Tuesday:) Today Andrew came over to get a list of the things he would need for the sump pump, while he was here I showed him my side lawn with all the standing water! He immediately knew it was not normal as it was like a small geyser, asked if he could dig a little without hesitation I said please do! Minutes later I walked outside after calling my husband, and he said" want the good news?" He found the problem as to why my basement was flooding!!!! He found a very clogged drain, and unclogged it!
